Do you tip a professional photographer?
I'm doing my holiday shoot w a professional photographer in central park and I just realized I don't know if I am expected to tip.
Thoughts?

I think its like any other business, if the person goes above and beyond, I would, but its not a must

If the photographer is the owner of his/her own business-of course not! If it's a large studio and he/she is one of the stuff than yes, but I am not sure how much.

I tip anyone I think went above and beyond - even if they own the business or work for themselves . . . but you dont have to!

The other thing is that she's a pretty pricey photographer, but I bought thus package on one if those groupon type if websites, so it was deeply discounted. A 90 minute session for $270 w a $50 print credit.

I think a tip is always appreciated by most people.
If they go above & beyond (and I don't mean traveling if you're paying a travel fee), then I'd consider it but I think I'd want to see the end result. To me it's like tipping a waitress before the meal.
