Former Retin-A users?
So... TTC #3 is about to get underway . I'm currently on Retin-A and loathe to go back to the way my skin was with #s 1 and 2. Did anyone who was on Retin-A find a decent pregnancy-safe alternative?
(I did try Proactiv w #1, didn't do a thing for me unfortunately).
TIA

Re: Former Retin-A users?
Ughh I wish. With DS I used Azelex and Erythromycin gel. This time around I am using Finacea gel 2x a day and erythromycin pads 1x a day and Belli face wash. My skin is still not great but it's not horrific like it was in very early pregnancy.... though the sun could be making it a little clearer too. I miss Retin-A, I haven't been on it since I before TTC #1 (due to BFing and then TTC again!)

I SO Miss Retin-A...possibly more than wine! I got glycolic acid pads from my dermatologist which are doing a decent job.

Re: Former Retin-A users?
I don't have a huge skin problem and I wasn't on pure retin A, but I started having some adult acne few months ago and my dermatologist prescribed Ziana, which also contains A. But then we started TTC so she gave me a prescription for Finacea cream, she said it's not as good as Ziana, but still very good (it's a rosecia med, which I don't have but it is also used to treat acne) It works for me, def not as good as Ziana, where I saw results within just 24 hrs, but this one made a huge difference in my skin as well, I have actually stopped using it now since my face is fine, will use if I start breaking out again. She also gave me advice on skin care routine : wash my face with benzoyl peroxide wash like Clean and Clear wash in the morning and then with gentle cleanser like Purpose at night before bed, apply the acne cream... Maybe you can try and see. Good luck.
