tipping - sunday newspaper delivery only
DH and I are wondering how much we should tip for Sunday Newsday delivery. We received a tip envelope with this past Sunday's paper...and it's only our second delivery...
$5? $10? How often? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are new to this.

I hope we get some feedback. I am thinking $5 a month? A dollar for each paper delivery each Sunday? I don't want to seem cheap though...what are you thinking?

We only receive the Sunday paper as well. What I've been doing, and I don't want to sound cheap, is sending the envelope back every other month with $5 (it's still $60 a year). That's $2.50 a month for a $10 monthly subscription (25% tip)
My parents, who also receive the Sunday paper only, disregard the monthly envelopes and give a holiday gift.

I tip $1 each week. I get billed on an 8 week cycle so my bill is $12 so it rounds out to an even $20

Good question. I send back every3 months w $5. I hope that doesnt seem cheap but the cost of the paper is like $2 so to me that is a decent tip. I like the idea of one tip at the holiday, makes sense.

We do this too. We give $50 for the holiday gift.
