Has anyone else seen this man and had a negative experience? I need someone to talk to! Help please.

I love him and can't imagine having a negative experience with him. He is brutally honest but I find that a great quality because who really wants someone sugar coating anything when it comes to the healthy of your baby.

And I find it interesting that you have 2 posts and they are both about the same thing.
Stop trolling the boards unless you have a valid reason and can explain your valid reasons on posting negative things about this doctor.
I understand everyone has their own opinions and experiences but I doubt you will find many people on LIF to agree with your ranting.

Honestly I do not know why you are being rude. I am not "trolling" the boards. I am reaching out to others in hopes that I can find someone to talk to about my awful and heartbreaking experience. I know that Dr. Kofinas has done many good things- but for me he was nothing but awful. Respectfully, YOU are the one ranting on others posts when you have no idea what they have been through. I posted my own post and commented on another. What is wrong with that? The only reason I haven't posted my story is because it is very personal and upsetting and I am still coping with the aftermath. I will in due time. Please stop yelling at people- you have no idea where some of us are coming from. Wishing you a happier and more positive rest of the day.

Sorry you had a heartbreaking experience and I understand it may be hard for you to share your story. Maybe post vague details about what happened and others that may have experienced something similar will respond.
I was not yelling nor was I trying to be rude. Just factual. There are lot of "trolls" that come on this site to post negative things as their first post and then disappear. Sorry to have mistaken you for one of them.
Hope things turn out better for you in the future.

Thank you for understanding my intentions.
Is there any way to privately message people on here? Like I said I am still dealing with my very serious experience with Dr. Kofinas and most likely legal matters will evolve. I'm waiting to see what I can and cannot say publicly- for now. I truly wish everyone out there nothing but good things with their own pregnancies- trust your instincts and get a second opinion!!!

I am seeing Dr. Kofinas now for my second pregnancy. Yes he is definitely a force of nature and can be blunt and borderline rude sometimes. I also find him a bit extreme at times, but he cares about his patients' condition tremendously and I think that his no ******** attitude is designed to not overlook any detail or leave any room for malpractice. I am seen by him and his colleague sometimes during one visit and he doesn't agree with his colleague's more lenient attitude sometimes, and as strange as it seems to me that the openly disagree in front of their patients, that reinforces the feeling in me that he is more thorough and dedicated to his preferred course of treatment his approach. If I was looking for more leniency, I wouldn't seek out a high risk Dr. and just stuck with my OB. I don't know what your personal experience was, if you want you can PM me even if it is just to share and for support.

Malpractice and misdiagnosis was exactly what it turned out to be. What I thought what his no nonsense attitude and non leniency is what ended up getting me into trouble. I should have gotten a second opinion but the man bluntly told me I would bleed to death if I didn't do what he said.

i have never been to Dr Kofinas but i have a friend who LOVED him and another friend who HATED him....so i know you are not alone. I have been through something that caused me major problems because of a surgeons errors and have lived with major issues since - so I do know how upsetting putting your trust into a Dr can be. FM if u need to talk. Hopefully things wil get better for you....:)

But should you sue the dr, forum mail is just as "public" as these boards because they can subpoena everything. Just saying.

If you fully intend on pursuing a law suit due to malpractice, discussing it on a public website can bust up your case.

Wow. You know what? I have to say I am becoming more and more upset since I reached out to this local community. Why is everyone being so judgmental? I came on here in hopes of support and comfort during a difficult time and I keep getting yelled at. Yelling at me to tell my story- now don't tell my story? I mean really people- I just needed some kind words and hoped to spare any more possible heartbreak for others in the future.

Honestly I know ChristineLlama, she was not trolling the boards as one of you put oh so kindly. I've been on these boards for years and encouraged her to reach out. Her experience was horrific- I know first hand- and she wanted to know if this happened to anyone else under this drs care. I'm embarrassed that I even told her to come on here.

Everyone has different experiences with doctors, and it vary from one extreme to another. And some people cannot even fathom that their best dr. was someone's worst nightmare.. it maybe their own fears (I don't know). It sounds like you went through something very painful, and you can open up to us (or not) at your time. Good luck with everything.. and I wish you the best..

Honestly, I am not yelling at you, I've just worked in malpractice and anything can be found on the internet. You need to protect your own best interest.

Sorry to hear of your poor experience..it's sometimes hard to go against what's popular on these boards and I was shocked to hear some disturbing things once about a very popular dr on here..do what is right and good for you and I wish you the best
