driving directions for commercial vehicles?

hi everyone

my brother has to go upstate tomorrow with a work truck but all the directions he gets are for parkways, which he cant go on with commercial plates

does anyone know where i can find mapquest-like directions that allows you to search using a commercial vehicle? or that allows you to avoid all parkways?

i tried on mapquest but no dice...

Usually if u have a gps there is an option to avoid parkways. my dh used to have to do that for his job.

Google maps .. Has an avoid highway feature..but that might be all highways...but you can also drag the route manually and it will suggest another route if you drag it away from the road not allowed with his vehicle...

My parents live in Dutchess and had to drive a moving truck down here one time. They had to take the Thruway to the Deegan to the Cross Bronx over the Throggs Neck to the LIE.

I don't know where upstate they are going but that is how you would get off the Island ( reverse obv)
