Nunley's Carousel Party during public hours??

Hello,
I just booked my daughter's 4th birthday party at the nunley's carousel for a Saturday in October at 3:30-5. This is during public hours, but private parties are all booked up.

Has anyone hosted or attended a party here during public hours? I'm a little concerned that it may be a zoo with lots of people that are not part of the party. If anyone can please tell me what the party is like during this time, I would greatly appreciate it. Really excited about the party, but bummed it's not going to be private.

I went to a party there a couple of weeks ago that was during public hours. I wouldn't say it was a zoo at all but maybe it depends on the time of year/weather. The kids that are part of the party wear little bracelets and the craft activities/food are in a roped off area of the facility.

We were there Sunday on our own and there was a party going on. It was still very quiet. The party had their own designated area and nobody went over there.

As a guest at the party, did you feel uncomfortable with other (non-guest) adults around?

Never been to a party there. Is there a person that will take care of your party besides the 2 people that run the carousel? If so, I think it will be fine. If not, I would just be worried that the party person would be distracted with selling tickets, etc.
It seems like a nice place to have a party. Have fun!

We go there all the time on the weekends. To me, it seems like besides the birthday parties, there's me and my DS, and maybe 2 or 3 other groups of 2 or 3 people who ride the carousel. And we go, ride three times and leave, so we are only there about 15- 20 minutes and then leave. I don't think it makes such a big difference whether you have it as a private or public party.

We did it with public hours. It wasn't crowded and it was fine. I didn't even notice the other people.

I went to one and did not care for the strangers in the room. I would personally not book that party, but thats just MO.

Its difficult if you have more than one child and they separate, and one runs around the other side of the carousel. Worse thing is they leave the doors open in some weather, so there also may be a wide open door which presents an issue with some children and families.

I had my DD's 4th birthday party this year and it was a private party and, honestly, I was really underwhelmed by the whole thing. The people running the party were really unmotivated and borderline incompetent honestly - I kept telling them what to do and when to do it to keep the party moving along. There were a lot of little things that bothered me but, won't get into it. Honestly, the only thing that made the party decent at the end of the day was that the kids had the carousel to themselves and could ride it how they wanted, when they wanted - this was big with the girls who wanted to ride together, on certain parts of the carousel and when the kids wanted to go repeatedly. It's not that big of a party space and, I've been there during public hours while the party is going on and I feel like it does really take away. I know how you feel - My DD wanted her third bday there and when I couldn't get a private time I waited until her 4th and booked it 5 mos in advance. HTH!
