Popeis in sayville
Has anyone been to a party there, just wondering what the food is like? also wondering what the room looks like.

Had my rehearsal dinner there back in '01...Also eat there fairly often
Food is really good, but I do not recall them having a "private" room unless soemthing has changed recently...For us they made us a large "L" shaped table on one side of the restaurant...
The decor is "seafoodish" 
They have a large shark hanging, nets, , crabbing paraphenalia, and Popeye and Olive Oil type knick knacks around...

hmm, my friend said its all brand new and they have a room for 75, im pretty sure its the same place...i guess ill give a call...now im confused...are there a lot of flat screen tvs???

They have a seperate bar area with booths...There are tv's in there (not sure about flat screens)...
Popeis in Sayville has been there for a real long time...Its been a few months since I've been there so unless they changed it, I don't know...
I'm sure if a party is big enough, they would shut down the restaurant for you...Its not a "huge place

They recently added on a new room. It's totally different then the original part of the restaurant. It's really nice. Has a more upscale feeling to it. Really nice and the food is great.

Yes the new room is very nice!! I did my son's christening there because they offered a lot and the price was the best I could find 2 years ago. They were in the process of building the room when we had our party. The food was AMAZING!! They brought out platter after platter. You pick like 3 appetizers and 4 main courses. I think beer and wine was included in the price. Definitely get the huge seafood platter for one of the main courses, it had everything in it! Each platter is passed around and they kept refilling them. The staff was sooo nice too:)
