I work for JPMorgan - can I still join a Credit Union? If so, how do I go about it?

NO clue...my mom works for the Govt, and there's a Federal Credit Union she belongs to...same for my friends that are teachers...
but like for someone like me w/no affiliation to anything besides food....

I had an account years ago in Tn. at TVA credit union that I got through my parents. I am now a member of Actor's Federal Credit Union, but that is restricted to members of certain theatrical unions. I think that is the way most of them work.

I believe you can join but you would have to be "sponsored" by another credit union member.

It depends if it's a Federal or State. State CU are harder to get in.
A lot more of Federal CU are offered by companies. You still cannot get in without a sponsorship (family member, etc) or if you company is not participating.

Bethpage Federal Credit Union is now opened to almost all Long Islanders. I've had an account there for ages.
You do not need a sponsor.
