Moms of 2 under 2 - Double Strollers
DS will be 19 months old when DC #2 arrives. We went to look for double strollers and hated all the options. They are either too heavy/bulky, too expensive, or don't fit our Graco car seat (I refuse to buy new car seats).
Do you actually use your double stroller? My thought is most of the time we go to stores where there are carts, I can put DS in the cart and the baby in the carrier in the basket. I don't know that I'll be going many places with both kids by myself so we can just take two strollers. Maybe when the baby is out of the carrier we could use something, but DS is an awesome walker and at that point, I might be able to do a sit and stand.

Re: Moms of 2 under 2 - Double Strollers
I will be joining 2 under 2 as well and have been asking every mom I know that was in this situation. Most told me I can easily get by without the double. Same reasoning you gave.... most times when I go out alone will be to the store and I can put them in a cart.
Places where I would need the stroller/do lots of walking I will have DH or a friend/relative with me and we can each push one ( snap and go and current stroller) By the time this baby grows out of the snap and go I am thinking DC #1 wouldn't want to be in the stroller anyway.....
So my plan for now is to wait it out and see how things go in the first few weeks.
I have done my research on doubles and the only one I REALLY liked and would consider is HUGE/HEAVY & $$$$$$
I would rather wait and see if I really need it then spend the money and struggle with the double if it isn't necessary.

Re: Moms of 2 under 2 - Double Strollers
My DS should be just under 2 when newbie arrives, and I'm eyeing this stroller. My son is an active kid, but loves to sit and be pushed in his stroller. I'm absolutely certain he's not ready to give that up!
I haven't played with it in person at all, i've just done some online research. You can get into it for under $200 and it comes with 1 attachment bar for an infant seat. My only concern is that the max weight per seat shouldn't exceed 40 lbs -- DS is already 30 lbs.
