Is Triple Paste more effective than Desitin?
My poor DD has her first diaper rash. I've been putting Desitin on it but still looks so irritated. Should I try Triple Paste instead?

Yes, in my opinion. When DD had her first bad one, I tried Desitin, Butt Paste and Aquaphor. Nothing worked until someone told me to try Triple Paste. I use that, with a little Aquaphor over it for some cooling relief. It's more expensive though.

I think Triple Paste is the best thing ever. For me it always worked much better and faster than Desitin, A&D or Balmex. Of course, it's more expensive, but in my opinion worth it and that big container lasts a looong time.

Thanks ladies. I use A&D or Aquaphor on a regular basis and reserve the Desitin for when she's looking a little red. But this is beyond a little red. Poor girl! I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

I started off using Butt Paste and that didn't help at all. Now I use Triple Paste and I think it is a god send! Expensive but so worth it!

In my experience, Desitin Maximum Strength Original paste (in the purple tube) with a layer of Aquaphor over it to seal it in worked best. Desitin has the maximum level of zinc oxide available in OTC diaper rash creams. For DS, Triple Paste was fairly ineffective but I guess every baby (and rash) is different.

ITA~!!!! This is what my Dr recommends. It must be the desitin in the purple container. It's the zinc oxide that helps, and it has the highest % out of all creams.
Triple Paste never helped my DD.

Desatin and A&D never work for my DS, in fact, I think they irratate him more!
the only thing that works WELL is triple paste. we use powder with every change to prevent rash. its worked, at 15 months, he hasnt really had a rash.
