Creed Singer Scott Stapp Claims He's Broke and Living in a Holiday Inn
He's performed in sold-out arenas and topped the music charts in the '90s but Creed lead singer Scott Stapp claims that he's now broke and living in a cheap hotel room.
In a 15-minute video posted to his Facebook page on Wednesday the 41-year-old said he was "under some kind of pretty vicious attack" with rumors circulating that he was dead or on drugs.
The singer, who has battled alcoholism in the past, insists that he is "as sober as can be" and has been taking blood and urine tests once a week in order to prove it.
Stapp believes his problems can be traced back to an audit conducted eight weeks ago into his record company and personal finances that he claims revealed "quite a bit of money" was stolen from him and royalties not paid. "That's when all hell began to break loose," he says. "There are people that have taken advantage and stolen money from me and they're trying to discredit me, slander me."
He says he's "looking for an honest, good attorney that's ready to fight and take it all the way to the top."
Admitting he wasn't sure whether he was doing the right thing by posting this video on the Internet, Stapp expressed his concern for his children and added, "Right now, I'm living in a Holiday Inn, by the grace of God, because there's been a couple of weeks where I had to live in my truck. I had no money, not even for gas or food. I went two days without eating because I had no money and ended up in an emergency room."
The band best known for their 2000 hit "With Arms Wide Open" is currently on hiatus. To date, they've sold upwards of 24 million albums; their most successful record, 1999's Human Clay, was certified platinum 11 times.

 Honestly, who cares?
We're supposed to feel bad for some worthless celeb who doesn't know how to manage his money? Who gives a fuk? There are starving people all over the world and this guy wants sympathy for having lost millions he made off shittty music.
He looks like a butch lesbian with a mullet and a crooked penis for a nose.

Apparently, he is dealing with either mental illness, possibly drug induced and was just recently committed to a 60 day psychaitric hold and called his 10 year old sons school to tell them they were being targeted by ISIS.
