Long Island Basement Waterproofing – Family Owned and Operated
1. Tell us about ACM Basement Waterproofing and the inspiration behind the company:
The company was founded in 1989 and got its start in excavating and external digging and sealing. Over the years, the company has grown and gained experience in the industry, and has since moved on to become experts in the installation of interior drain systems and sump pumps. ACM and its employees strive to bring their expertise to the waterproofing industry, and want to give consumers a name they can trust when it comes to protecting their home from mold and water damage.
2. Do you have a company motto/philosophy and if so what is it?
First and foremost, we at ACM Waterproofing believe that the satisfaction our customers is the most important aspect of our business. Our commitment to our customers is demonstrated by the fact that the company had never had a complaint with consumer affairs in either Nassau or Suffolk. On the rare occasion that one of our customers finds an issue with the work we have done, we will send someone to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We believe that maintaining a positive relationship with our customers is best for both them and the company in the long-term. Doing so ensures that every customer is completely happy with their decision to do business with us, and our satisfied customers are the foundation on which we have built ACM’s growth and success.
3. If you met a potential client and had literally one minute to tell them why they should use your company what would you say?
Our company has been family owned and operated for over twenty years, and in that time has served hundreds of families all over Long Island. Since it is privately owned, we are able to give every job a level of attention that our larger, franchised competitors cannot. ACM Basement Waterproofing also employs three waterproofing experts certified by the Basement Health Association – a national trade organization – and are one of only three companies on Long Island to employ people with that level of expertise. Once certified, one must take continuing education courses in order to keep that certification, ensuring that our employees are always using the most up-to-date skills and information to find a solution to your problems.
4. What sets you apart from other waterproofing companies?
We have had a lot of experience over the past few decades in dealing with water problems and managing the needs of our customers. ACM Waterproofing is a small, family-run operation, and is therefore able to give every job a more personal touch than our competitors can. The majority of the estimates are done by the owner himself, guaranteeing that every detail is accounted for and evaluated by a nationally certified expert. ACM also cares about your issue in the long-term: we are not interested in slapping a band aid on a customer’s water problem. Providing a customer with a temporary fix goes against our company’s own philosophy of ensuring full satisfaction, which is top priority for ACM Basement Waterproofing.
