Update on Peri
Ladies please my little 2 yr. old yorkie Peri needs your prayers.
My husband accidently ran him over yesterday. It was a complete accident and partially my fault. It was my daughters baptism and we were getting everything ready to leave the house and come out to Long Island. I had Peri in his dog bag along with some other bags I was putting in the car. The backseat where Peri usually "sits" was full so I stupidly left him in his bag behind the car as I was going to have him sit on my lap in the front seat. Well I ran into the house b/c I forgot something and I told my husband I would be right out and we could leave. My husband thought I had put Peri in the car and while I was still in the house he was backing the car out of the drive way when he ran over Peri. We took him to the emergency vet hospital immediately. It seems he has fractured several ribs and a little bit of internal bleeding in the lungs, however he has been stable for quite some time now and the doc thinks he will make it, however we are not out of the woods yet, at least not for another 24 hours.
Ladies, please pray for Peri that he makes it through this. I cannot sleep, all I see is his face and I hear his cry. I am so distraught and cannot think of him not making it through this. Thank You. I will keep you all posted.
Update 9-5-07 Peri is home and he is on the road to recovery thank GOD! He is still swollen but is doing better. Thank you for all your prayers I will keep you posted.

OMG!!!! I am so sorry and clearly that was an accident and just one of those freak things. I am so sorry and you have lots of prayers for Peri. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

Please keep your prayers coming. As of this morning he was stable and was able to stand up and eat. I'm hoping this is a good sign.
