Bones actress Tamara Taylor confirms to PEOPLE that she is engaged to attorney Miles Cooley.

Cooley proposed in April with a gleaming diamond solitaire ring. Asked to brandish the rock at the 14th annual Diversity Awards on Sunday, Taylor, 36, gushed, "He did good!"

Resplendent in a periwinkle Betsy Johnson dress, she shared her version of the modern bride: "No, I don't have a dress yet but I might wear a sari."

According to her rep, "They haven't set a date yet but are very excited. They are very much in love." In the meantime, the Los Angeles-based couple will spend the Thanksgiving holidays relaxing in Sacramento, California.

Originally slated for a handful of episodes on Bones, Taylor was so well received as forensic division head Dr. Camille Saroyan that FOX extended her character to be a season regular.

All things "fox" have proved lucky for the actress. She first broke through on the studio's long-running drama Party of Five (1994-2000) as – you guessed it – Matthew Fox’s love interest.
