Tried a new sweet potato recipe for Thanksgiving!
I made this for Thanskgiving and it was awesome! I've had trouble making a great sweet potato dish in the past and this will be a staple for us now. So easy too!
INGREDIENTS 1 large (40 oz) can of yams ( I use Princella or Bruce's) 1/2 cup white sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 teaspoon salt 4 tablespoons butter, softened 1/2 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
(I also added a little brown sugar & cinnamon) DIRECTIONS In a large bowl, mix together the sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, salt, butter, milk and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Transfer to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes or so, add mini marshmallows to the top& sprinkle w/ cinnamon. Broil until golden brown (only a few minutes)
Anyone else have any great new (or old) recipes to share?
