Spanish actress Paz Vega, who played a nanny in the 2004 Adam Sandler movie Spanglish, will soon have a little one of her own to look after – she and her husband of four years, shoe store and restaurant owner Orson Salazar, are expecting their first child.

"I'm four months. Yep, you can see," Vega, 30, told PEOPLE at Monday's Los Angeles premiere of her new movie, the indie comedy 10 Items or Less, with Morgan Freeman.

"We are very excited," she said. "It's our first and it's a boy. I haven't had time yet to decorate the nursery, because I've been working. But after Christmas I'm going to prepare everything."

The Seville native, who now lives in Los Angeles, added, "I haven't decided yet where I'm having him. I guess after I'm done working here – I don't know exactly but I'm hoping in Spain."

Vega has several movies coming up, including the thriller Fade to Black with Christopher Walken. "I'm planning on working after the baby is born," she said. "I'm going to rest for three months or so, but I have to be ready so I can start working again."
