Need to VENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over the summer I posted about an affair that my friend's husband had 3 months after the birth of their child. Mind you, she and the baby had a really hard time and both were touch and go at different points.
The DH was such a ******* after all of this. And now tonight she tells me that she is pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so angry, jealous, envious, you name it, I didn't even know what to say. I am not often left speechless but this did it to me. I had to leave the party soon after that. I was in shock the entire way home.
When will it be my turn????????

Karma Schmarma! Good things happen to bad people, bad things happen to good people. I try to get through each day thinking that everything happens for a reason but then something like this happens that you just cant wrap your head around.

Your friend is pregnant with the husband who cheated on her!! First of all, why did she stay with him. Be glad that you aren't in her situation instead of wishing for what she has. You probably have a loving & supportive husband..be glad for that and realize your time will come also for a baby.
Once you stop being jealous and wishing for what others have..good things will happen for you. That is what happened to me. I was also jealous everyone around me was getting pregnant etc..Then I started being happy for people, and things changed for me.

I know - 2 people with similar stories. Just pray for the baby at this point --- truly brings in the idea of "you can't choose your parents." Your time will come. I ask myself everyday why it isn't my turn and your turn, and her #1's turn, and her #2's turn....

sorry but I find this insulting and rude. I understand what you are trying to convey, but by insinuating she will get PG when she stops being jealous. C'mon!
Those of us that have been stuck here for a while dont really think that has much to do with an embryo implanting and I think its awful for you to insinuate such a thing.

This is a load of Bull and certaintly NOT supportive. PLEASE do not post here unless you have an inkling of understanding, which its obvious you DO NOT.
When I was TTC and facing infertility I was jealous of every single person in my life who was PG.....Being happy for them didnt change that fact .....a 20 thousand dollar IVF did.....
Some peoples ignorance just floors me.

I don't come on to say negative things, but I just couldn't help myself when I saw this post.
How DARE you insinuate that this is a jealousy thing.
We come to this board to vent, get understanding and learn from one another. It is hard enough to go month after month with no pregnancy, but to hear that you think it's an "emotional" thing, well, then tell that to my uterus.
There was nothing to learn from your post, so please stay away.

And to think I've spent almost 100k on IVF when all I had to do was be happy!!!
I guess DH should be happy too so his sperm can have the power to jump the great divide

Are you friggin kidding me!!!!!! Guess what, I am not jealous of other people's pregnancies and it hasn't helped me one iota!!!!! I'm glad to hear that you had wonderful things happen to you because you started being happy for others - but you know what, that doesn't actually work unless you live in a fairytale.
Please do us all a favor and don't post here unless you have either something valid to say or you want to offer real support.
I cannot believe how much this irritates me!
BTW, BigB - I understand how you feel. Sometimes there is no rationalizing what happens to people and why. You are definitely going to get your baby and whan you do, you and your husband are going to treasure that child more than anything.

Although i agree with the first portion of your response, the second part is down right plain ol' stupid.....Do you honestly think that jealiously is the root of my not being able to maintain a pregnancy? This is just laughable! It has nothing to do with Karma just pure biology!

I guess many of us should just have a big ol' happy party....or better yet, how about a Fertility dance? Maybe that would work as well!

Awwww....B, I still can't believe that post. I think that we have to be some of the most understanding and compassionate people around after what most of us have gone through.
Apparently, we aren't allowed to have any pity parties for ourselves. We just have to feel good for everyone else.
I totally wish that was the magic trick - then my tubes would be completely open and I wouldn't have PCOS
Go figure with people....

I never meant that to insult anyone!!!!I was having trouble conceiving and was always jealous and it took a negative effect on every aspect of my life..I am not saying that being jealous causes someone not to be able to get pregnant. I just found trying to think positive and being happy for others helped me personally.Being jealous won't change anything...I have been jealous many times!!!
Don't worry I won't post anymore..I am not close to an ignorant person and have had my own share of heartache in many aspects of my life..
My main point was that you never know what people are dealing with. Her friend has a husband that sounds like a real jerk and she doesn't sound like someone to be jealous of.
Again, I am not a mean person as you all think and I am very sorry for insulting anyone..It wan't my intention...

I dont think you meant to be mean. BUt what you said was very insensitive. The women on this board are no longer TTC. They are battling IF. Some have had recurrent miscarriages. Some have fibroids, polyscystic ovaries, abnormal sperm counts, Some have blocked tubes, or even no tubes. Some have spent 10, 20, 100K on IVF's. Mortgaging our homes, charging credit cards, applying for grants, and borrowing from family. We have done experimental procedures and suffered through more ups and downs than most people do in their lifetimes.
We have been happy for others, sad for ourselves, and at times yes jealous.
We are allowed to feel all of these things. We use this board to vent and support each other, because unless you have worn these shoes you can't truly understand how they feel.
While your message may have had a meaning, it was lost when your words were not chosen with enough sensitivty and understanding that the women here deserve.

Again..I am very sorry my words were not chosen correctly, and I feel terrible...I never meant to be insensitive, but I understand how it would be taken that way.. I will not post again..I would like to wish everyone the best..in the end everything will work out for all of you..
