Yeah I know. It's so funny cuz last night DH's sister, niece and his mom were over and we all watched the game together while my SIL's DH was at the game. When Beltran came up at bat in the 1st inning I said to my MIL "you know, he's still my favorite player but i've been a little disappointed in him this season" and right after I finished saying that he hit the home run. My MIL and I started cracking up.
Then he got hits throughout the rest of the game and my MIL was like "it's like he heard what you said about him and wants to shut you up"...

Keep talking about him tonight!  Though he should do good since Pedro was pitching. After the first half inning, I was ready to hop on the next boat back to Bermuda, because they didn't score a run since my return!

We play the fish right after philly...this is a major week for us. It's the week that makes or breaks us.

what a horror. I couldn't even watch the rest of that game. we need to win tonight otherwise we are out.
But you know what even if they don't make the playoffs they still had a good season. I mean let's admit it. This time last year their season was already over. At least this time their season lasted a little longer. It was a much more fun team to watch this year. So I am going to be proud of them no matter if they make the playoffs or not.

I agree, it has been an exciting season so far. I'm greedy and want more than a "little longer" than last year. Though I'm not sure if they'll be at the top of the Wild Card in the end, I would like them to play important games throughout September. Win or lose today, I'm more worried about the games Vs. the Marlins this weekend. We know how the Mets love to hit on the road (outside of Arizona).

I want more than a little longer too but I just don't know if that will happen. This is the week that will make or brake us. If we can beat the phillies tonight and take the series with Florida then we still have a fighting chance. We're playing washington this month and then Florida again..... but like i said i'm still gonna be proud of my boys

Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of them as well. I'm they stay in it until Sept 24th - I'm seeing them play in Washington. We need a little comeback today - 2 innings to go.
