how far does $50,000 go?
My new insurance will begin on January 1st and my doctor wants to begin IVF. My consult last week was cancelled and rescheduled for this week. I am so antsy and have so many questions. I was wondering if you ladies could help me with a financial question.... my insurance will cover $50,000 for IVF and I was wondering how many cycles will this cover? Thanks so much!

That should cover quite a bit
When I had coverage only the retrieval and transfer were charged to the IVF coverage (and at the contracted rate), and the rest was considered regular IF coverage.

Well my friend had $10,000 and she got 3 IVF cycles out of it...so I would say pretty far.

Well my friend had $10,000 and she got 3 IVF cycles out of it...so I would say pretty far.
Yes, I got 2 out of it (10k also) and we only used like 3 or 4k, but then we changed insurance

I got two out of my 10K and probably would have been able to do one more, but we changed coverage.
50K will take you far.

no way, you will get much more than that. remember its 50K of their contracted rate, not what the clinic charges. And all your regular visists and sonos come out of the regular benefits. Only the actual ART procedures get billed under that amount.

agreed. I work in insurance and 50K for our members who have it gets them all they need and more. its a great amount!

I am guessing u have Empire plan.
If not..I did and I was covered for 50,000.00.
I just got my medical papers and I will estimate one complete cycle was 7,000.00 for me.

If you go to East Coast (DON'T!!) each cycle is 12K up front.
My cycles cost about 6K each with no insurance coverage for IVF procedures.
