Re: Anyone Have A Good Stew Recipe

Flour meat (I buy stew meat pieces that already cut into chunks) and brown in pot with a sliced onion. Add about three cups of water and 3 beef buillion cubes (or you can add the equivalent of beef stock) and a bit of gravy master for color. Simmer for about an hour.

Add cubed potatoes, carrots (I prefer chunks, but you might like slices) and a can of corn (drained) and cook for about 45 minutes more or until veggies are desired consistency.

Re: Anyone Have A Good Stew Recipe

1 larged onion halved and thinly sliced
2 med carrots , peeled and sliced
1/2 cup of green beans
1 can of corn
1 lb of beef stew meat
1 clove of garlic - crushed
3 cups beef stock
2 tbls spoons brown sugar
3/4 tsp of salt
2 tsp of worcestershire sauce

put everything into a slow mixer and cook fo 8-9 hrs on high or 4-5 on low

with 30 mins left, take a ladle spoon full of the broth and 3 tbls of flour and whisk until smooth. Add to the crockpot and cook for the remaing 30 mins

* i made this and it was very tasty, but I think next time I may skip the flour part. I don't like it that thick. Also for real taste I may add some red wine and marinate the stew meat in some worchestshire sauce before i throw all the ingredients together.

But try it, it's good!
