really dumb question... shrimp cocktail

i am making these for xmas eve dinner - im assuming i just boil water and dump the shrimp in and lett hem turn pink and then remove and chill right....... is there anything else i have to do?

Depends on the kind of shrimp you got:

Frozen & already cooked: just defrost in a strainer


Frozen & not cooked: boil until pink, strain & chill


Fresh: peel & devein if needed, then boil until pink & firm & strain & chill
