Another one with late AF
Ok, girls, I have a similar situation as girlygirl. I usually lurk on here but have posted previously as we weren't really trying to TTC, just throwing caution to the wind.
I am on CD 36 now and no AF. My cycle is usually around 29 and I had never gone past CD 30, and that was only once, last month which I think was due to stress (I took the California bar exam July 24-26).
I had charted for the past 6 months or so, more to just figure out my cycle, not really to TTC (but not to avoid it really either :)) and always O'd (according to my interpretation of my charts) on CD14.
I have taken 3 HPTs. THe first I took last Tuesday (CD31), and i don't think it was an early response one, since I figured I was late already. Got a BFN. Then, on Friday morning (CD34), I took a digital EPT certainty, i think it was called. Also BFN. THen I was reading the other posts and thought hey maybe I just o'd later than i thought and bought FR, took one last night and got another BFN!!
IN addition to just taking the bar exam, i immediately started a new job right after. Is this just stress that's causing me to be late? Or stress causing me to not O? OR stress causing me to O late and i'm really not due for AF yet or could i still be pg??? I have no idea when i o'd this month (or if i did at all, though i think i usually do) because July/Aug i didn't chart because i was so stressed with studying and wasn't doing much bd anyway, didn't want another thing to worry about.
I am going to call my doctor on monday if nothing happens, but i am now worried that maybe something is wrong with me!! I feel fine, so I''m not sure what's going on....Just wanted to see what you guys thought since you're all experts, so whatever advice or thoughts you have on this would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Re: Another one with late AF
The home tests are pretty reliable. You may be testing too early. Stress can definitely be a contributing factor to AF's delayed onset. I highly suggest buying OPKs. It will make your life a lot easier and you won't have to keep 'wondering' when you ovulate. I really hope that this is it for you. I think if it is, it will be a LIF record -- so many BFPs all at once! I hope I can join this train soon. Good luck!!

I'm thinking stress could be the factor in either case of not O'ing or throwing AF off. I was wondering myself if I even O'd this month and I have some stress that can be throwing me off

Re: Another one with late AF
You can have an annovulatory cycle and still O. In fact unfortunately, some people have extremely regular cycles and never O. Getting AF never confirms ovulation. You may have ovulated, later than you thought....very few people ovulate exactly on day 14 , especially not every cycle.
Since you formerly used to chart, I would advise, taking your waking temp, if the temp is close to your usual post ovulatory temperature.....I would test for pg again and then go to see my Dr. A person can have elevated temps without Af .....for more than their luteal phase....A) because they are pregnant or B) because of an ovarian cyst.

Oh no, you too!!!!! we are twins!!! ugh, and I know what you mean by bad too- this is CD3 and its still very strong and not as painful but enough. I started charting but not taking temps- should I be? it said not to take temp until AF is light to almost gone. best of luck to you too-- BABY DUST !!!!!!!
