Licking Paws till there is blood
Molly started licking her paw alot last night and we noticed that it looks like there could be some blood. Any idea why she would do this? Is there anything I can do for her? Should I call the vet? I am such a worrywart!

Maybe she got a cut and that's why there is blood -- and would also explain why she is licking it. Try to look closely and see if there is a gash or anything. You can bind it if it isn't bad, and use a spray so she won't lick it - they sell it in pet shops for hot spots and the like.

Re: Licking Paws till there is blood
Usually it's a "hot spot" and they just do it for no reason. My dobie used to do it and I started spraying Bitter Apple on his feet - he stopped right away. Be forewarned, he did not like it at all and would try to run away when I went to spray his tootsies.

Biting paws is a sign of allergies. You should ask your vet....benadryl is also good for the dogs if they have allergies. My dog does this all the time.
