Everywhere we go, DH says he had a sex change
He thinks it's a funny joke!
At genetic counselling--he asks how his sex change affects the odds of me getting pregnant at all and how it affects all the possible mutations of genetic disorders.
At the blood lab there was a mistake on his form and one of the tests usually done on women only was checked. He again made a sex change joke. The blood lab lady was telling him that she can't really laugh at such a joke because people who really had sex changes come in from time to time.
I am positive he will tell the RE that he used to be a woman.
I have a client who had a sex change. I happen to really like that client as a person. I'm supposed to NOT laugh at things like this. DH thinks I should be ROTFL. Secretly, I like the fact that he tries to break the ice in all of these medical facilities.

I think its good that he's trying to break the ice, and its probably his way of coping with the anxiety of the situation.

Ok, I've read this three times and I just don't get it
There's no hidden punchline or anything. It's just some possibly offensive humor that my DH has been using. I felt bad posting it but it's what's happening in my life, so I posted it. He's telling doctors that he used to be a woman b/c he thinks they'll find it funny that a man trying to make a baby would say that. It is more funny when you know what my DH looks like. He would not be a good looking woman.

I'd prefer your post-transsexual husband to mine, who jokes to friends that we aren't pregnant because we only have an*l $ex.
#1 - I don't do that.
#2 - This stopped being funny a long time ago.

LOL. It's his way of coping. Men are weird.....they either don't show emotion at all or try to make jokes of the situation. At least his jokes break the ice at the RE. Better this than a depressed man who withdraws.

That is funny b/c while my DH makes the sex change joke, I give the anal sex answer to people who ask one too many questions! I do appreciate what he's trying to do (uuum, I mean the jokes, not that I appreciate anal sex. ).
