WW meeting - what to expect?
I was thinking about checking out a WW meeting sometime this week. I've never been to one before and was hoping that some of you might be able to tell me what to expect? Also, can you check out a meeting for free or do you have to register? Could I just register for a week or two to see how I like it? Thanks!

You have to register to attend a meeting. They probably have free enrollment right now for new year's resolutions and all so you will just have to pay the weekly fee.
You fill out some personal information and they weigh you. This is totally discreet - the scale in on one side of the counter but the screen is behind the counter and only the employee can see it and record your weight on your card.
At the meeting they will give out any awards for people that make milestones, talk about obstacles and breakthroughs. The leader usually has a topic to discuss to help motivate you and keep everyone on program.
After the meeting there will be a be a mini-meeting to go over the materials, how to use the point counter, etc.
As for future attendence, it's up to you. You get 3 missed meeting passes when you join, after that they will charge for missed meetings. If you stop for a while, you will have to re-register.

Thanks! I'll check out the website as well.
So, is it at the mini-meeting that they explain how the program works? Can the leaders help you figure out if Flex or Core are better for your lifestyle?

You go in, register, get weighed. Your weight is not shouted out for the world to know, the only person who sees it is the person weighing you in.
You go into the meeting and they have a different topic every week. Around the holidays it's "dealing with the holidays" kind of topics, people talk about their issues, problems, triumphs for that week etc. It's usually really entertaining
Then new members stay after and it's usually on a few people, the leader will go over the program and youcan ask any questions you have then. ets :they can help you figure out what will work best for you. Don't forget, it's not set in stone, you can switch every week if you want to!
