Anyone else own a SafeSeat and upset??!
I'm sure you've all heard about the Consumer Reports testing of infant carriers... 2 /12 passed @ 35mph. I have 2 SafeSeats that were supposed to be ultra-great and I'm a little concerned now. I spoke to Graco and they will send out a "rebate" of sorts if I purchase Snugrides (which did pass). At this point, though, it's not really worth it - the boys would grow out as soon as I put them in there! I am thinking of transitioning them to their regular carseats sooner rather than later.
Fact is... the next test they'll do will be at highway speed or something and they'll all fail again. I guess it's just something to be aware of.

I have the SafeSeats as well. I am pizzed to begin with b/c they don't fit in the snap 'n go - now I'm even more upset. They will be in these for another 4-6 months...I was thinking of purchasing a set from one of the ones on sale from the NMOTC newsletter - that's an option.

I think that i'm going to buy Snugrides... if you call Graco they'll send you a letter entitling you to $40 compensation for each seat you purchase... that combined with a twin discount at BBB shouldn't be a whole lot. I'm royally annoyed, to say the least

FYI: Laura - I have always read to be careful about purchasing used carseats, as you never know if they've been in previous accidents. Just food for thought.

Oh and FYI to everyone too, if you've ever been in an accident with a car seat you have to buy a new one - even if it was only a fender bender. If you were to ever get into a more serious accident with the car seat that was in the small accident, insurance won't protect you.

We're really upbeat today!  I have been such a downer about these carseats. It totally freaked me out.

That's a serious consideration... I think I would do that and at least be guaranteed to get them. Don't forget your twin discount!!

That's a serious consideration... I think I would do that and at least be guaranteed to get them. Don't forget your twin discount!!
Then we are going. You never know how early twins will come and how long it will take the company to replenish inventory.

I think it might only be BRU that has it but I can't remember and of course, it's only on some items
BBB has it for what they deem "larger" items. If you buy 2 of something (carseat, stroller, etc) they'll give you 10% off the second one.
