Why does my puppy...
want to chew EVERYTHING....EXCEPT his gazillion toys??
I only give him a few each day, we rotate them so he doesn't get sick of them. But he prefers photo albums, wires, carpeting - I spray Bitter Apple but then he just finds another sopt.
Why why why???

Such is life with a lab!
My dog used to lick the Bitter Apple off whatever I sprayed and keep chewing.

oh, i so feel your pain... owen took a special liking to my basal body thermometers  and today i found him with one of my (expensive!) running shoes in his mouth
<--- but how could i get mad at that face? i let him get away with it because he's cute... so i am slowly but surely creating a monster

try hot red pepper flakes if bitter apple isn't working...Gus just used to lick the bitter apple, but he really hated the hot red pepper! Labs are tricksters...just keep "trading", tell him no and give him a marrow filled with cheese, or a kong filled with those peanut butter things....good luck!

Well it's better now that I don't keep him in my office all day with me -- he is confined to the kitchen for a few hours now.

Tell me about it. Mine chewed the carpet the other day This is after she polished off an entire beer can that she found outside!! She literally shredded it it pieces. Luckily she must have a stomach of steel otherwise we would be spending a lot of $$ at the vets!! My 2 year old lab outgrew this so I am hoping she will too and soon

Abby did that too! she grew out of it. now she loves all her toys...once she stopped the teething, she gave up chewing things...welle xcept for our socks..she still wants our socks
