Interaction between the two?

My boys have started to wrestle each other and while they are not crying, is this something I am supposed to stop, and get involved in. I read somewhere that you should not get in between the two of them and how they relate unless someone is getting hurt. Not sure if this is the best idea.

Also what should I do about the constant toy stealing?

My girls do that which I don't mind it's the "I think my finger should go RIGHT into your eye" that I have a problem with. Chat Icon

When they are fighting over a toy I usually sit down & share the toy between all of us. If that doesn't help I take it away for a while. (Who knows if thats the right thing to do)

Re: Interaction between the two?

i'm not a parent yet, but i run an infant/toddler nursery and toy stealing is very appropriate for this age. have you heard the toddler's creed???

If I want it, it's mine.
If I give it to you and change my mind later, it's mine.
If I can take it away from you, it's mine.
If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
If it's mine, it will never belong to anybody else, no matter what.
If we are building something together, all the pieces are mine.
If it looks just like mine, it is mine.

sometimes it helps to have multiples of very popular toys, which i know isn't always possible at home, but you may want to consider.

Re: Interaction between the two?

The toy stealing is hard - even if I have 2 of the same exact toy it doesn't matter. One wants what the other one has - Hailey will take whatever it is Zachary is playing with, whether she wants it or not, she will run away with it and hide it. He will either curl up into a ball and cry - or go after her and then its a tug of war. Usually with him ending up crying - she bigger and stronger than him right now.
I usually do what Tracy does - I take whatever they are fighting over and sit with them and share the toy - if that doesn't work - it gets put away.

We have mostly 2 of everything but they want the one the other is holding.

I just get worried since one son is more passive and let's his big brother push him around, I don't want him to be a pushover, KWIM? I also don't want my older son to be a bully.
