I cant take these itchies!!!!!

OMG please stop the itchies!!!!!

My skin hurts so bad from scratching all the time...I use the Sarna cream which gives temporary relief, but they come right back...

I went for my blood work...the Dr said she was testing me for PUPPS..although she doubted thats what it was considering theres no rash...

I think she was also testing me from cholestasis..the lab said she was testing my LFTS and Bile and liver functions.... anyone know anything about these things?

I dont want anything to be wrong... but i cant help but feel if there was at least they could do something for me!!

I truely dont know how I will get through another month like this

Any suggestions?????

Did she say you could take an antihistamine like Benadryl or something for the itching in the meantine?

yea... but it makes me sooooooo tired, and then I cant function, so I try to only take it at night!!

They also said to try my hardest to avoid it...I dont know what to do

Whoever it was...Ive become immune to the temp. relief I was using..so I need some new ideas..

ALso... a rash has started to develop on my elbows... I dont know if its from scratching all the time.. or what???

Anyone whose had PUPPS or cholestasis..any ideas what the heck is going on with me?

Here is a link to a pupp website where other women posted some remedies. I hope it helps but the only think that really worked for me was the medication and the prescribed pills I received from the dermatologist. PUPPS

I had it too in my last trimester it was the absolute worst. I woke DH up one night at 2:00 to go to the store and buy me every itch creme and ointment he could find. 10 tubes later the only thing that brought relief was Cortaid OINTMENT not the creme.

Try it, it may make you feel a little better.

I really know what you are going through and although I'm not a doctor, it definitely sounds like you are going through exactly what I did. It seemed like it took forever to get the results back... and what happened with me was 2 of the 3 results came back and I was told they were normal, but when the 3rd came back a week later, that was when I was told it was NOT normal and to go to the hospital to deliver. If I were you, I would call the doctor, explain the itching is getting worse, you aren't getting rest because of it, and to please put a hurry on the results.

I dont know how successful getting the results will be considering its a holiday weekend...

I just cant imagine I still have another month to go, and its NOT getting any better.. In fact its getting so much worse!!!

My dr. really dosent believe its anything but as horrible as it sounds, I wish they could just figure out whats going on...and medically stop this!!!!

My doctor at first didn't think it was much, until I stressed the fact that it wasn't just my belly, but also my arms and legs as well. Then he got concerned and from that moment on, sent me to see a high-risk doc.... I was probably due in a couple of days at that time. That doc then wanted to see me every couple of days. If I remember correctly, I do think that there is some sort of treatment if it is cholestasis, but I'm not sure what. When my doc finally called with the results (1 week after having the blood taken at the high-risk doc) he told me my numbers were "off the wall" and to go to the hospital that night to have the baby. I was suprised it took so long to get the results, when I was told it should only be a couple of days. I know it's a holiday weekend, so like you said, it may be hard to rush the results, but I would definitely put a call in Tuesday morning and see if they can do anything else for you. It's not fun.... I remember at that time I felt like I slept only a couple of hours a night, because I was scratching so much. You need to rest, so I would also mention to your doc how its keeping you awake at night and you aren't able to get any rest at all. Don't let them shrug it off as nothing.

YES!!! It was me who suggested you try Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap or Packer's Pine Tar Soap. It worked for me!!!! No more itchies!!!!

You'll find it in drug stores...not Duane Reade or CVS...only real neighborhood drug stores. Or a store like Whole Foods. I no longer work in NYC...but, my sister does and she picks up the Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap for me at Whole Foods.
