Rabbit needs a home.

Long shot, I know, but does anyone want - or know of anyone who wants - a rabbit?

Our nephew found a rabbit in a dumpster in Ozone Park on Saturday night. The rabbit was nearly frozen and the cage was filled with snow so she'd been out there at least since Friday.

She clearly has not been fed in a while - she's fur and bones.

In spite of all this, she's a super sweet girl and beautiful (shades of grey).

It infuriates me that people can be so disrespectful of another life - literally treating it like garbage...but that's for another post.

We just took in our third rabbit rescue and just don't have any space for a fourth.

If you know of anyone interested in getting a rabbit, please let me know!

OMG! I hope you can find it a home. The person or people responsible should be put in a cage and left for dead outside in the winter IMHO! That breaks my heart.

I am just reading this and I'm sick!!! I am a rabbit lover and would do any thing to seriously have the person that did that locked up...that's abuse!! I would love to take the rabbit, but unfortunately I can't. I have two and I still live at home. My parents would kill me if I took in any other pets!! I feel so bad for that poor baby

Thanks, girls. I totally feel the same way. Thankfully, the rabbit (nicknamed "Ice" for now is doing VERY well - eating and drinking and playing.

We thought we had a home for her and drove way out in Jersey with her but the woman had 63 other rabbits.

So Ice is still with us and the search for a forever home continues.
