Anyone been to Cesars Pocono Resort?
DH and I are looking to have a weekend away before the baby comes and heard about the resort in the Poconos. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Anyone been to Cesars Pocono Resort?
DH & I have been there many times and loved it.
Cove Haven is the biggest one, but we like paradise stream because it is small and more intimate. Brookdale is the one that is family-friendly and Pocono Palace has golf and cross country skiing, if that's important to you. But you can stay at one and visit the others, all of which are within an hour of each other.
The rooms aren't super contemporary, but they're nice. I suggest getting a room with a pool AND a jacuzzi. We like the Garden of Eden Apple room. The champagne towers are nice, but not worth the $$$ IMO.
Breakfast and dinner is included, as are all activities. Lunch you have to pay for and what they serve really isn't that good so I suggest exploring the grounds outside of the resort for a mid-day meal. They have a breakfast buffet (it's ok) or breakfast in bed (LOVE it!) The breakfast in bed menu gets filled out the day before and looks somewhat limited. Here's something they don't tell you: They will bring you whatever you want but you have to request it in writing.
For dinner, you sit in tables of 8 (maybe 10) so you'll be with strangers but everyone is very friendly. Two nights a week they do a buffet and the rest of the week its restaurant-style which is really nice, and you can order seconds and thirds if you want.
Activities are good, but you're going to spend most of your time in your room ( ) which is why the more deluxe rooms are so worth it.
Oh, and if you're an AAA member you'll get a discount.

Re: Anyone been to Cesars Pocono Resort?
we went to Cove haven a few months ago - in October.
We had a great time. Make sure you dont get the cheapest room. They are the oldest rooms.
We got upgraded to a room with a pool, sauna and hot tub because we found mold in our first room.
The customer service there is excellent.
Everything is really clean
The food was really good too
We went out of the resort, and found a flea market and also a farm that sold pies and pumpkins etc....There are a few towns in the area that looked really nice but we didnt get a chance to stop in any of them.

Re: Anyone been to Cesars Pocono Resort?
We go to Cove Haven every year. We have a blast there. It is a little pricey for some of the rooms, but at Cove there is a lot to do. Drinks and lunches are not included though, so be sure to bring some cash. We always go witha group of people, so we shop at Mr Z's on the way up & get food & lots of liquor for ourselves - it saves money. (the rooms have fridges).
