I know how you feel-my dad's b-day was last weekend. It's hard but just think about all the good memories you had with your mom. That's what helps me!

i know it is so hard. On my dad's birthday i go to the cemetery and leave a balloon. Brings a little comfort to me.

All of the special days during the year are hard but I just try and say a little prayer for her and enjoy something she enjoyed like pizza and beer. I try to keep it light.

I know how you feel. It was very hard last year with all the special occassions (the birth of my nephew, birth of my DS, my baby shower, etc.) not having my mom there and also Mother's Day was very hard and her b-day. I am glad that I had DH and my family that helped me with each occassion.

Oh honey...
I get sad on my mom's birthday too. Me, my dad and my aunt (mom's sis) usually go out for dinner on that night. we don't celebrate it but we make it a point to be together that day. i'd like to think that makes my mom happy.

I know how you feel. My moms b-day is coming up 2/25.
This will sound odd but...
I go to the cemetery with 2 packs of neccos (my moms favorite candy) I leave a pack for her and sit and eat the other while I am there.
Makes me feel close to her.
