More Travel Help
I have a $200 voucher from American Airlines that I have to use before May. DH and I are thinking of doing a long weekend away in March but we can decide where to go. We are hoping to keep it as low cost as possible. I was thinking Montreal but would it be bitter cold there in March? Any suggestions?

Re: More Travel Help
Erica - what about someplace warm, that has direct flights? San Juan (PR), or Miami, New Orleans?
I love Montreal, just not sure I would chose to go in March or April....!

Re: More Travel Help
Funny you mention New Orleans as that is one of the places we were debating about. If we have never been there are we better off waiting a few years for them to recover more before we go for the first time?

Re: More Travel Help
We went last Memorial Day weekend to New Orleans and had a blast. We had gone Mem. Day weekend the year before too...and decided to make it a "tradition" (not this year, Baby P is due to arrive then!!).
THere is SO much to see and do...the French Quarter is up and running at full speed pretty much. You can also take a tour and see the damage that was done, and the progress being made to improve the city.
I love NOLA, so.... I guess I am biased!

Re: More Travel Help
I was just in New Orleans in October and all of the tourist areas are fine...you can't even tell that anything had really happened, aside from it being not as crowded as it had been in the past. All the restaurants, sightseeing places were open and running.
Plus the weather in March/April should be nice.
