Been doing it for ten years, at least 60 kids a year. If If I got paid a dime for everyone I graded I think they'd have to quadruple my salary
Trust me the Regents level ones are not nearly as bad as the AP. I've been teaching AP (Euro and then World) for nine years... they take even longer to grade.
The AP kids have more docs, they have to come up with a "missing doc" that would be helpful to the argument, and analyze point of view/bias in at least two documents, nevermind provide pertinent outside info to the theme and periodization.
Grading essays is one thing I will not miss while on leave
