Help--Did I mess up the trigger?
Help--I'm stressing out that I might have screwed up the trigger shot.
It was the prefilled ovidrel syringe. When I took the top off to expose the needle, I'm not sure if I was holding it upright but some spilled out. Then there was a space of air on top. I just flicked the syringe (like they told me) and injected. I didn't know if I was supposed to "push the air out" but I was so scared more would spill out. How much space is supposed to be there? Did I lose too much where it won't work? Would my dr. give me more tomorrow at the IUI?
I can't sleep I am driving myself crazy.

I wouldn't worry about a smidge..
I'm sorry u couldn't sleep!
I did the same with some infertility meds and even injected a ton of air into me.
Just let the doc know.
I'm sure people do it all the tiime.

What does it mean if you inject air? Did you ask you dr. when you did it? I thought I remember that it is okay if it is going into your stomach (no veins), but will it affect the effectiveness of the shot???

Hi All this is Gertyraes husband. She is doing much better and should be released from the hospital today. No problems with the implants so she'll be @ today hopefully

you are not supposed to inject air, but it will not mess up the effectiveness of the shot. You'll also be fine if just a tiny bit spilled out. Good luck today.

I injected air on my first shot I gave myself that I mixed..i think the repronex.
I was freaking, it was ok-it was not in the vein, I have squirted some out too and it was ok.
I would just tell the doc...
