Why are you posting this on the infertility board?????? Many of the women on PG have had M/C.
Many of the women on IF have never been PG.
But yes, they still do bloodwork.

I would think so. I think your levels need to drop down and also the dr needs to determine how far along you were and if a D&C is needed. I'm sorry for your loss.

I believe they will still do bloodwork to ensure your levels are down.

I think she is just looking for answers since its a hard thing to go through. And unfortunately sometimes a person can find out they are infertile because they have numerous miscarraiges. So please dont take offense.

Re: When your period comes....would they still need to??
I didn't have bloodwork done with my first one, my OBGYN didn't think it was "necessary".
But my second one they did check to make sure the levels got back down to zero.

I am not sure how far along you were but with my SIL, she had bleeding and the doctor didn't do additional blood work. She was experiencing cramping for about a month. And sure enough a month later, she passed what appeared to be pregnancy tissue and it was later confirmed that it was pg tissue.
To ease your mind, you could always request one.

Re: When your period comes....would they still need to??
If you got AF(which I believe you said you did) then your levels are down. OR you could be bleeding because of the m/c. Although it seems that this is unusual I had 2 m/c and bled with both of them for about 30 days, stopped for 2 days and then started AF. My Dr is very pro-active with making sure hcg goes down so I knew my numbers were down. Your Dr should check you.
