Average airfare to Cancun...

If anyone can offer any insight it would be much appreciated. We are going to Cancun in July and airfare seems high right now (like 1000 for 2 ppl incl taxes). I saw flights in December for 350 pp before taxes and fees. I am not sure if I should book now or wait a while to see if prices come down. Has anyone been to Cancun and can offer any idea on what average prices for this time of year are?

When we went in December 2 and 3 years ago, it was about $500/ticket.

Did you look into JetBlue? They fly there now!

Thanks for yoru repsonse...JetBlue is about 450 per ticket so I think I will just book them....I appreciate the info!

We got 2 tickets, non-stop for $777.

Over this past Thanksgiving break we paid about 1K for two round trip tickets

We have been watching it for a few months now (we are going in April) and we booked recently at

$284 a person + 94.60 taxes & fees = 1,136 for 3 people

It was a great deal but since then it has gone back up ro so DH has told me. We have seen it up as high as $500pp. It was high and then went real low adn now went up higher again. No rhyme or reason we have seen.

We are flying American Airlines.
