Teachers: Bag question

What bag do you ladies have for work? We don't have our own classrooms at my school (too overcrowded), so I'm usually toting a bunch of stuff around with me. I need something that is a decent size. Any suggestions? Pics? Thanks!

Instead of a bigger bag, what about a cart? I teach in two different rooms, and the cart is a lifesaver. I don't like to use the other homeroom teacher's stuff, so I have some baskets with markers, tape, my stapler, etc. and whatever other books/materials I'm using. It also holds my overhead projector, which I use often.

A cart is a great idea. It will be less stress on your back and you can organize it as well.

They also sell a bag on wheels that you can put files in. I found this on TeachersDiscovery.com. HTH!!!

Re: Teachers: Bag question

I teach in a high school so the cart thing would not work.

I use a tote bag. I have a desk in a classroom where I teach 3 periods a day. For the other 3 periods I carry stuff in a tote bag. Mine happens to be a black Kenneth Cole nylon one that I got on sale. I usually just carry my gradebook, a folder or two, and keys and that is about it.

Re: Teachers: Bag question

Honestly, I make it a point not to bring home any work. I do it all in school so I just have a regular large book bag .

Thanks for the suggestions. The cart would not work. I just need a large bag. I'll have to look around. The one I have now is ripping at the seams, it's def time for a new one!

Re: Teachers: Bag question

i used to use a black coach bag that i got at the outlets... it got all scratched up so I stopped using that... now i use a vera bradley tote bag... it is so nice and soft and fits a ton and i dont have to worry about it getting scratched up!
