"Certification Pending" on resume
If you put "certification pending" on a resume, does that mean that the paperwork is already in Albany and you are waiting to hear?
I am currently in a program working towards a certificate, but will not be sending any paperwork to albany until August... Should I just list the program under "Education"

I did this only when my paperwork was already in Albany which was right after I graduated

I did this only when my paperwork was already in Albany which was right after I graduated
mee too, when I sent in resumes to people I also gave a printout from the TEACH website. Mine is all done, but pending name change approval

When I first making my resume years ago, I wrote certification expected and then the date...
I do the same now with my diploma - I write EdD...May 2009
That way they know I'm in the program but no where near completion!

I personally did not start writting certification (pending) until the paperwork is submitted to Albany. Until then I would just write your education.
When I interviewed they wanted to see that all requirements are complete (letter from school, passed exams, workshops, etc)

Under certification I wrote whatever the cert is...expected whatever the date is
Under degrees, I also wrote degree...exptected whatever the date is
Are you job hunting my dear???

On my resume, before I was certified under my edu. background I put certifcation requiremtns completed and listed them all

Summer internship out of my district. they want a resume and cover letter and it has taken me all morning b.c some of these things I dont know how to put on correctly.

I would put certified in _____ as of ____ ( date)
for example.... Dec. 07 or whenever you think it will be.

At least you see an end in site. I still have no idea when I'll finish my Ed.D., so I have it listed as Doctor of Education, Coursework in Progress - so they know its not even close to being done! LOL. If all goes well, i'll finish in '09 or 2010, but the thought of 2010 is just too darn depressing!

I know how you feel! I started Fall of 05 and am FORCING myself to believe that I will have a dissertation by then! I want to get on with my life!
