I need to find a good up beat book to read. I'm a sucker for some cheesy "chick lit". Any recs?

I read The Kite Runner last week and I liked it. I finished Poisonwood Bible last night and I absolutely loved it.

The Secret Life of Bees was great. Another one I loved was "What Looks LIke Crazy on an Ordinary Day." It was an Oprah book, I think, but I can't remember who wrote it.

again, not chic lit, but I loved My sisters keeper by her.

As for Chic lit, I am a few chapters into Something borrowed, and so far it is cute.

What looks like crazy.... is a great book! The author is Pearl Cleage.

I loved the Secret Life of Bees

There is also an author named Cecelia Ahern who is great - she is young and fairly new - My favorite book is PS I love You - I passed it on to everyone I know and they ALL love it
