Foundation
What foundation do you use/recommend? I've been using the Maybelline mousse foundation and it worked great at first but now I noticed it looks cakey and flakey. I bought the MAC liquid foundation and found it didn't have enough coverage. Anyone have any suggestions? I was looking at the trublend mousse but was wondering if it would do the same as the maybelline. I need coverage so I'm not a fan of sheers. TIA.

Bare Escentuals! I just bought the starter kit, and I love it. I used to use liquid foundation, but I love the Bare Escentuals powder so much more. It's not cakey at all and lasts all day.

Re: Foundation
Sorry to hijack, but I'm curious about the BE products.
Do the BE powders give you complete coverage??? Even zits, birthmarks, etc? Does it come off too easily, like on clothing, etc.?
Where did you girls buy the BE? Sephora? Online? The ID store?
(can you tell you've peaked my interest. )

Re: Foundation
I currently use Chanel Double Perfection Fluide, which I would consider medium coverage.

I use my normal cream concealer first, then the Bare Escentuals powder, then Warmth (kind of a bronzre), then the finishing powder (Mineral something.) They have a concealer, I know, but I haven't bought that yet.
It does not come off on clothes at all and gives me medium coverage. It really evens out my skintone, I have some redness.
I bought it at Sephora, but you can buy it on qvc.com, I think or Sephora on-line.

Re: Foundation
I use prescriptives, although very rarely. Mostly, I just cover my undereyes with concealer and use concealer on any little dots I might have on my face.
I only break out foundation if we have a really really big event and I am having not too good of a skin day.

Re: Foundation
Another Bare Minerals advocate here! I never wore foundation before I started using this product b/c I always HATED the streaks, cakey feel and the fact that I could never blend it in well.
BM is fool proof - for a fool like me

Re: Foundation
Bare Minerals here too!!!! I just bought the starter kit at Sephora about a month ago and I'll never go back to anything else!
I have this horrible redness under my nose that will, sadly, be there until I die and probably long after that, and BM covers it SOOOOO well!!! Love it!!

Re: Foundation
I have Bare Minerals too- I use it, but I tend to use my Clinique Concealer and Foundation- along with the powder and bronzer more. I have been using Clinique for so long I cant see to change
ETA: I only use this "stuff" in the winter when my skin is a bit red/blotchy and I have no tan. When I am tan I barely wear anything-

I am interested in Bare Minerals but like others, am concerned with coverage since I have frequent breakouts
I currently use CoverGirl AquaSmooth
It feels like I'm not wearing anything and the color is the best match Ive found

Re: Foundation
I use Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer with Mac Sheer Foundation. I use concealer to cover (undereye circles, zits, etc) and use foundation to more even out my skin tone.
I might order the Bare Essentials also... My curiosity has also been peaked

I do too and it covers to me better than heavy liquid. You just take a small brush and brush it on the breakout, simple as that. Great stuff!

Re: Foundation
I use Revlon Color Stay for combo to oily skin and Bare Minerals mineral veil dusted over it. This works the best for me and everything normally cakes on me, even the Bare Minerals foundation . . .
