Would you be offended? Puppy Cries
I am in this apartment and all day basically (minus a few hours in the afternoon) everyday, this puppy cries and cries and cries... not barking, whining cries. I feel terrible for him/her.
I am home during the day now that I am in GA-It is either coming from right above me or right below me, DH seems to think it is below- I think it is above- either way, we can find the apt.
Would you be offended if I came by and told you that the puppy is crying ....and offered to take him out during the day- I am home anyway- and this poor thing cries and cries! I could take him out and play with him and walk him, he could play with my boogie too- but I don't want anyone to think I am complaining... I mean it is annoying, but I am not complaining, I just feel bad for it!

Re: Would you be offended? Puppy Cries
I definitly would not be offended at all but then again that is just me. It takes a lot to offend me so maybe I am not a good judge? regardless, i would think that was a very sweet and sincere on your part. I do see where your concern is because some people are just weird like that

Re: Would you be offended? Puppy Cries
That really sweet that you want to offer to take the puppy out. I'm in a similar situation, my puppy cries a lot. She never barks, but even if I go to the gym for an hour, she cries a lot. My land lord mentioned it once, and now I am so self conscious of it.
Maybe you can drop off a note, so its not so awkward. You can introduce yourself, tell them you are home most of the day, you are a dog lover etc etc... If they get the feeling you are approaching them purely for the dog's sake they won't think you are complaining. You never know, maybe they may offer you a few dollars to walk him. Its worth a shot!

Re: Would you be offended? Puppy Cries
I wouldn't be offended, I would probably be appreciative. Knowing that someone would take my pup for a walk or play with her for a while would make me feel so much better about her being home all day.

Re: Would you be offended? Puppy Cries
I definitely would not be offended. Especially if you are coming from a place of concern for the puppy rather than a criticism of the owner. Being that you are a dog owner yourself, it would definitely be appreciated if it were my pup!

Thanks , I am going to stop there today, and if no one is home leave a little note- I don't know whats going on, because even last night- when someone "should have" been home, I heard the little guy/girl crying!

Re: Would you be offended? Puppy Cries
I would not be offended, when we first got our puppy I was worried that she was crying all day too, because sometimes when I would get home from work I could here her. I asked our neighbor if it was bothering her, and she said it she could only here it if she was by her front door. Luckily Bella grew out of the crying and is fine now when she is left alone. If a neighbor offered to walk her during the day, I would have jumped at the chance!!
