Results from the glucose test come back yet? Do you fit the mold?

Re: Melijane
yep no PCOS! My glucose was normal...I got my follies measured today(natural cuycle just for a baseline) and they were around 13 mm. I saw Dr. B who I like! He seemed to think that was kind of small but i usually don't O until CD 17 so I am going back Sat and we'll see what happens. Supposedly they grow about 2 mm per day which would take me to around 21 on O day. How are you doing?

Re: Melijane
I didn't have elevated glucose levels, either...still told me I have PCOS
I'm going in today, too. But I'm seeing L, I'm going at 5:15 for a baseline. I'm on CD10 (Clomid cycle), and I don't usually O until CD16 or 17 either.
Let's get pregnant this cycle and have a nice long, healthy pregnancy, okay?
Imagine that was all it really took...

Re: Melijane
funny, I am butting in on your post, but I didn't have elevated glucose either..but I did have those pearl things around my ovaries. HMM
I have to admit, I couldn't handle the Metformin, and was never good about talking it I hope that isin't a mistake while preggo...EEK
Anyway...I do hope this is the month for both of you! We could have a same doc, similar due date party!
PS. Melihjane, I agree...I like Dr. B soo much, very kind man!

Re: Melijane
I would LOVE to get PG this cycle and have a nice long about 40 weeks or so pregnancy. Un fortunately we decided not to try this month and start Clomid next cycle. Us gettting Pg naturally has not worked so well for us and should anything go wrong I lose out on 2-3 cycles...

Re: Melijane
Sorry for butting in. I dont have PCOS but DH is on Metformin for elevated insulin levels (glucose was fine). Isnt it insulin levels that are high, not glucose levels with PCOS?

You are totally not butting in, this post is for all
I don't have those pearl things on my ovaries, either. Like I said, I really just don't think I have PCOS.
Maybe I can just come and sit in your chair? Maybe the preggo dust will rub off...

Lauren maybe you should talk to him about this. What is his basis for giving you Metformin if all your tests for PCOS were negative?

Lauren maybe you should talk to him about this. What is his basis for giving you Metformin if all your tests for PCOS were negative?
His reasons are:
Overweight Excessive hair (I have a couple on my chin) Acne (I get acne around my chin as well, only sometimes -- right now there is none)
My testosterone was normal, in fact I was on the low end of normal, and I don't have those pearls, I don't have elevated sugars and I ovulate every month. My AF is irregular, but I truly believe that I have a luteal phase defect, NOT PCOS. But, I didn't go to school for a cagillion years, so who knows.

Come on OVER! Honestly, I really think it comes down to the timing of the IUI. First time they missed my O, second time,, I think the did IUI a day too late. THIS time they caught that I was O BEFORE the OPK stick did, and it stuck. Washed spermies do not live as long as unwashed, so it really has to be just right....actually my hubby just thinks it was his super sperm powering through! He had 70 million this time, the first time was only like 14mil I think. So who knows!
I am praying for you this month!!!

Wow, so there is a personality hiding in there somewhere. I think he just doesn't like me since our "fight" over his horrid office hours.

Re: Melijane
I just wanted to pop on here and let you guys know that I definitely have PCOS and I have no insulin, glucose, weight or testosterone issues. Everything is in the normal range for me. I do however, have excessive hair, many follicles with no ovulation, and bad skin. I also gain weight in my midsection which is a sign of PCOS also.

Thanks Gerty, good to know. I have most of my weight at my midsection as well.
