IUI Kinda long

I went to the city today for an IUI "How to give yourself the needle type class" Anyway I get home and I get my period So now I 'm freeked out because I have to go back to the city tomorrow so they can do my blood work and let me know how much of th Follistum I have to give myself......Great I found a drug store that has the Follistum but not until tomorrow after 12 which is fine ....BUT i need pre authrz. from my insurance for the Follistum I called they said I'm covered BUT it will take a few days for the aothrz to go through....whatever I cant wait I will just purchase the Follistum and get reimburst (sp) from my Insurance ......HOLY SHI*&^%&* $900.00 later for only 1 cartridge I hate insurance companies I hope everyone doing this gets pregnant RIGHT AWAY !

Tell your Dr. when you go tomorrow for the bloodwork (or anyone in the office for that matter). They may be able to either get you approved for the Follistim or have a pharmacy they work with who will deliver it to you or they may have some in the office to "loan" you.
I have had all three things happen to me at one time or another.

Thanks for the info..but the nurse called me before because i called her flipping that I got my period and did not have the Follistum and I have to go back to the city tomorrow she just said to me purchase one cartridge ...i wish she would have offered to laon me one .. NOt to get off the subject but Im so stressed i need to laugh let me tell you what I did...I was telling my sister in law about the class i went to, the injections I have to take ...she said what are you taking I told her I have to inject myself with FLOMAX she was like why are u injecting yourself with FLOMAX I told her that is what the Nurse told us....Uh hello what is FLOMAX where did I get that from ... she knew right away I was wrong ..she is a nurse

I agree with Gerty ask the Doc's office for some when you go tomorrow, how much are they starting you on? Cos 1 vial can last a while if they start you on a low dose, ooh I just read your post again you won't know how much till tomorrow. Just be kinda pushy but very nice with the nurse, she might give you a sample??!!

I don't know enough about insurance to know if they would reimburse you?

That is horrible. I ran out of Gonal-F, a different injectable, and I have to get a longer supply from a mail order place and they wouldn't send it to me for a few days, so I got my doctor's office to loan me some. That stinks that you had to buy it, I'm surprised the office didn't offer!
