NEVER shopping at Bloomingdales again!!!!

To make a long soiry short, i ordered a pair of Uggs for Xmas for my sis in late Nov. In early Dec, i got an email saying they were on back order til Feb. SO i called and canceled and then got them thru Uggs.com

Well while im in italy, i get an email from my mom saying that a box from Bloomingdales came and it was the Uggs. This morning, i checked my acct and THEY CHARGED ME AND I THEN WOUND UP GETTING SLAPPED W/ OVERDRAFT FEES bc i dont keep much $ in that acct.

I called Bloomingdales right after that PIZZED and the man told me that according to the computer, my shipment was never canceled. I said, "I certainly did cancel and even the guy i spoke to agreeed w/ me that it was crazy to wait til Feb for these boots".

Then the guy proceeds to say, get this- " I know this is gonna sound wrong but this happens all the time. That guy had no authority to cancel your order and said that he did it to get you off the phone. I see it all the time". I said, "Oh so this is standard practice w/ you guys? Dont EVER expect me to shop w/ you again"

so, the customer service reps cannot cancel orders at bloomingdales? that makes plenty of sense.

you should list them on eBay - I am serious! Uggs in sizes 5-9 are impossible to find. you might actually even be able to make a profit!

did you order them from Uggs or from bloomingdales?

ETA- b/c if you ordered them from bloomingdales and didn't cancel the order thru them- I don't see how this is their fault

there system is not hooked up to Uggs system- they wouldn't know you canceled the order

If you used a debit card with a visa or m/c logo you can dispute the charge with your bank.

that is just wrong.

i recently exchanged a burberry coat (wrong size) from last christmas (05) and they did not give me any problems. he actually waived the price increase for me.

That sux but I agree that you should sell them on ebay and make a profit!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar experience at Saks and will never shop there again!

I had similar issues w/ my Bloomingdale's wedding registry. When items were on backorder, they just did not handle it properly. It all worked out, though.

I used to work for Bloomies. The catalog is a totally separate division than the store. Not that that makes it any better, just an FYI.

I just went through a whole mess with them as well. I got a gift card for my birthday and ordered a pair of boots. I get an email that they shipped and then they were never getting here so I tried to track the package and UPS had no record of it. I called them only to find out that the boots were out of stock and they sent the email telling me it shipped to get me to call them

At the time, I didn't want to wait and didn't have nything else in mind. I had thrown the gift card out because I thought I was done w/it so they had to send me a new one. I get it and take it off the paper and half the numbers and bar code come off the card. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with them going back and forth and nobody could help me. Three phone calls later, they finally give me the numbers over the phone. I don't even want to use the freakin card at this point, I never had such problems with them before but I'm pretty done with them.
