Child birth classes - where & how much?
I'm in the process of switching over to Winthrop. I found out their classes are $150. Does anyone know where I might be able to take cheaper or free classes... I know, I know...I said I wasn't going to take classes but my Dr made me feel bad about it today so I'm reconsidering...
How much are you paying and where are you taking them?

I'm considering Bradley classes and it's $250. My girlfriend is taking Lamaze @ St. Charles and it's $125.

It's a natural, meditative child birth class that involves the husband much more.

My dr. recommend a woman who gives smaller more personal classes - and offers breastfeeding support after the baby is born - it was $175

Re: Child birth classes - where & how much?
We paid $150 also and I delivered at NSUH Manhasset. My Dr's office is in Bay Terrace and we took a 1 day class in the actual Dr's office on a saturday morning. Although, you can choose whether you want classes or just the one day class. If you're near Bay Terrace and want to go there FM me and I'll get you the instructor's info so you can schedule your child birth classes.

I'm going to take a one-day class at Southside hospital. 8 hours, including a tour of the maternity ward, for $100.

Are we going to the same one? Linda Zuccaro I think? I'm going to register for the July sessions.
