Who knew?
I tried to use my membership awards with Amex through Delta skymiles and their partners but came up empty. It's been years since I was able to use my miles for air. I called Amex to switch my card to another type of card that gives cash back instead and talked to a nice lady who told me that I can use Amex Travel services and use my miles on any airline for any seat. I was flabbergasted..so as it turns out I can get the flights I want..making our vacation affordable!
I'm psyched!

I always use Amex Travel- I find them to be very competitively priced- and the service is excellent
you can even pay with points- or transfer them to a partner
it's better to call and speak to someone b/c I paid with points for a flight- and it would have been better to transfer them to jet blue- then get the flight for free and use less points- you live, you learn

you're right. I'm saving close to $1000 doing this. I was married to Delta and the partners, I never knew I could just use the membership rewards. Pfftt to Delta..phooey..they are officially fired.
Their quote on the hotel is good too. I will talk to my travel agent though tomorrow..the hotel is running a package special though and I most likely will have to go directly to the hotel..we'll see.
First week of June-Turks & Caicos!!
