If he has been sleeping through the night and now waking up again he really doesnt need the bottle it is just a habit. I used to just go iin to my kids rooms and hold them and rock them until they fell asleep again. Good luck

so I tried Motrin and it must have knocked him out, because he slept till 5:30 am and then had a bottle and then went back down till 9 am

If he is in pain then I wouldn't let him CIO. In my situation their was nothing wrong with my children because as soon as I would pick them up they would immediately stop crying. yea teething..Just keep dosing him with baby tylenol and maybe that baby ambersol...good luck!
