Corgi's (pref. Cardigan)

Does any one have personal experience with this type of dog?? I am interested in this breed and have read up on them but I wanted personal experiences. I want to get a breed that will be good with children when we decide to have them. Also, how is the dog with other animals?

Thank you!!!Chat Icon

Hi there! I have 1 corgi and my mother has 2 .. thats right 3.. but I have pembroke's. They are wonderful dogs, but A LOT to handle.

1. the shed sooo much
2. they are yappers.. they bark a lot
3. 1 of them gets along with other dogs well, and the other 2 not so much.. they are very teritorial dogs. Each one has to have the most attention or they get jealous haha
4. They are loving dogs, love love love people, and kids! So no worries on that!!
My Corgi is well trained and is as sweet as can be, shes like my child Chat Icon Chat Icon

They are great pets just have to have paitence for them! Good luck, and here is a pic of my babyChat Icon

Thanks for the info!! Your dog is so cute!! I am used to the herding type dogs so I know that they are barkers!!

Did you have the dog before you had you child?? If so how did the dog adjust?
Also did you get your dog from a breeder? Can you reccommend one that I can speak with??

Again, Thank you for all the help!
