Hey girls
So at some of your suggestions I've started charting using fertilityfriend.com. We bought a basal thermometer and also pre-seed. I'm usually dry and we don't want to risk wasting the BD using a lubricant that might hurt our chances. This is my first month so I have no experience of what to expect and how this works.
Can some of you help and relay your experience with the process? How accurate is it? What to look for? How do I know if I ovulated? What's the typical time frame? I know everybody is different, but I'm clueless here.
Any tips?
Thanks for the help!

Re: new at this
Sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Fertilityfriend is fairly simple to use, I have been using for the past three months, I believe it is fairly accurate.
I have not used pre-seed, so I have no advice there - sorry.
How long are your cycles usually?
When I started on the whole TTC adventure, I bought the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Weschler - as per advice of the other girls on here. It helped me ALOT!
Hope this helps a little
Lots of Luck to you!! Baby Dust to you!!

Re: new at this
Hey Amy, Marcie has some great advice there. The book is great -- very informative!!
I am just as of today on my second cycle of charting and so far, I am not getting it right. My temps have been crazy so...I will keep charting but will also start using the OPK as of day 6 (this past cycle was only 23 days long so...).
I just got pre-seed so I can't tell you anything about it - yet!! Ask me in 8 days or so, lol!
Between charting, fertilityfriend, OPKs and advice from other ladies on here, a visit to your Dr., taking pre-natal vitamins or folic acid at least..... and BDing a lot....well you should be outta here in no time!!!
ETA - a few of us are going for acupuncture treatments, just to help things along. I have heard great success stories!

Re: new at this
You said you have been charting right? Usually FF (fertility friend) will automatically mark it for you. Do you use OPK's (ovulation predictor kit)?

Re: new at this
ahhhhhhh it is so confusing. I just started charting and have to say the first couple of days it was hard to chart at the same time and then I would forget my therm so DH would get up and look for it half asleep, this morning was the first morning I didnt ask him for it and when he woke up he said did you take your temp! --I thought it was so funny but a good buddy system!!! I use FF( feritility friend) and OPK ( ovulation test kit), for the first month they were not insync. FF said I ovulated 3 days before I got my LH surge on the OPK- so I dont know?????? and then I had a surge for 2 days, then a negative ( I kept testing to see what happens after a surge) and then the next day the test line was very dark and the ref line very light and then I ran out of tests to take, lol. Let me know about the pre seed, I am usually dry too, but for some reason this month I wasnt???? go figure. GL !!!!

Re: new at this
Do most of you OPK? We were going to see if we could get away without it at first.
We used the pre-seed once so far this month. We liked it. Easier to use than most because of its individual dispensers. Definetly feels more natural.

Re: new at this
I didn't use the OPKs in the beginning either. Only after a while of not conceiving, we started to use them
